Annaliese, Veterinary Technician
Annaliese is one of our Veterinary Technicians. She grew up in Los Angeles, California. Annaliese entered the veterinary field because she has wanted to be a vet since she was 4 years old. She went to California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo for a Bachelors in Animal Science, which fostered a love of animals of all shapes and sizes! Annaliese plans to go back one day to school to pursue her dream of becoming a vet. Her favorite thing about her job is that every day is a new and unique challenge! Her hobbies include hiking with her dog, trail riding with her horse, skiing with her friends, and spending downtime with her cat.
Carley, Veterinary Technician
Carley grew up in Oregon where her passion for animals led her to the field of veterinary medicine at the age of 16. She graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology while working as a vet assistant. She plans to go back to school in the near future to obtain her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Carley’s favorite part about her job is seeing the difference we make in both pets’ and owners’ lives. When she’s not at work, you can find her hiking with her dog or skiing with friends.
Elli, Veterinary Assistant
Elli is from Loveland, Colorado. They have a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Wyoming.
Elli loves veterinary medicine because every day is a little different, and they get to help other people’s furry family members. Outside of work, Elli likes hiking, drawing, playing video games, and cuddling with their cat, Toucan. Elli also has 3 guinea pigs named Merry, Pippin, and She-ra.
TIA, Veterinary Assistant
Tia is one of our fabulous Veterinary Assistants. She grew up in Longmont, Colorado and had 1 super special pup named Patch. She joined the veterinary profession to follow a childhood dream to help animals and their owners. She especially loves working with cats in the clinic and is referred to by one of our doctors as the “cat whisperer” as she is very good with handling the clinic’s kitty cat patient’s. She loves the mountains, and her favorite hobby is photography! She has a wonderful husband, Orion, and one fur kid at home named Duke! (3-year-old kitty).
Shainna, Lead Client Services representative
Shainna is from Eclectic, Alabama. She moved to Colorado because she and her husband wanted to be closer to the west coast and near to the mountains.
Shainna has a bachelor’s degree in business management and organizational leadership from St. Petersburg College, Florida. She also spent ten years in the Coast Guard and in 2010 was deployed to the coast of Alabama during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Shainna loves animals and finds veterinary medicine very interesting. She is always learning something new at work!
Outside of work, Shainna cares for her two children, gardens, and hangs out with her farm animals. Her family loves to go hiking, too! Shainna has a Yorkie named Reef, a rescue dog named Terra, 2 cats, 41 chickens (some of whom are named Boss, Little Peep, Rhoda, and Big Bertha), and 5 goats (Winnie, peanut, Banana, Oscar, and Lemon).
Finn, Veterinary Assistant
Finn moved to Boulder in 2024 from the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area of southeast Michigan. There, he studied biopsychology, cognition, and neuroscience at the University of Michigan. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he moved to Colorado for the excellent skiing, hiking, and rock climbing, which are his favorite pastimes outside of work. He also loves music and often plays guitar in his free time.
Finn is ecstatic to work in veterinary medicine, as he is fascinated by the medical field and enamored by animals of all sorts. Being able to spend time assisting our fuzzy friends while learning more about biology and medicine has proven to be a dream come true, and Finn is incredibly grateful to be a part of Boulder Veterinary!
SARAH, PRACTICE MANAGER
Sarah was born and raised in Colorado. She attended Colorado State University where she obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology. She began her career as a zookeeper but moved over to veterinary practice management in late 2021. Her favorite part of working at Laurel is getting to see the kittens and puppies that visit! In her spare time, Sarah loves to knit, read, garden, study insects, and take long road trips with her two kids. She has two cats, Schrodinger and T’Challa.
